Michael Menninger helps his clients pursue their financial goals through a hardworking, common-sense and detail-oriented approach to financial planning. He provides personalized service, builds lasting relationships, and maintains a disciplined, long term investment outlook. He uses his experience and wide-ranging business and educational background as a basis for creating financial plans unique to each client’s goals and aspirations. Mike specializes in various areas of financial planning including, but certainly not limited to: investment planning, retirement planning and estate planning; all with an emphasis on providing tax-efficient strategies and solutions.

Mike attended both the United States Naval Academy and Long Island University where he studied engineering, marine sciences and mathematics. After graduating summa cum laude, Mike applied his talents to corporate financial planning and the management of multi-million dollar environmental projects.

In 2000, Mike turned his focus toward financial planning for individuals and small businesses. In 2003, Mike made it his priority to earn the Certified Financial Planner® designation from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania to further expand his knowledge in the field of financial planning. In January of 2007, Mike joined with ING® Financial Partners, Inc., enabling him to provide the very best products and services to his clients while maintaining the one-on-one relationships that he has developed and nurtured over the years.

Planning Philosophy

Mike’s philosophical approach to financial planning is simple. He strongly believes that knowledge is powerful. In the end, all decisions are ultimately made by his clients, but each client knows why they are making those decisions thanks to Mike’s informative meetings. He would never expect nor accept that his clients invest their hard-earned assets on “blind faith”, so he uses his vast knowledge and unmatched skills to lead his clients in the direction that is best for them.

Comprehensive Services

When meeting with a client for the first time, Mike performs an extensive and detailed evaluation of their financial situation. As part of that evaluation, Mike reviews the clients’ assets and debts (along with their associated interest rates), their gross and taxable income, investment and retirement accounts, life and disability insurance coverages, prospective pension plans and current and retirement income needs. While performing his analysis of the clients’ financial snapshot, Mike provides his “Finance 101” information to help his clients learn how all of their assets, debts and income “work” and how they are and will be affected by federal income taxes. In conjunction with the clients’ short- and long term goals, Mike provides a systematic and detailed approach that will help each of his clients pursue their goals in an organized and tax-efficient manner.
